The Challenge: Deliver a bespoke design, a light re-brand and develop a user-friendly online parts store.
The Pain Points
Oxdale Products manufactures British-made, quality machinery for agricultural and smallholding use.
Oxdale had an existing website that was not mobile responsive, didn’t represent the brand that Oxdale had become and wasn’t optimised to sell.
Poor Design
The old site was simply outdated in terms of design. It didn’t speak to the target audience and didn’t best represent the brand.
Not Mobile Responsive
The old site wasn’t mobile responsive and given that a substantial amount of people view websites on their smartphones, this was a problem.
Poor SEO
Oxdale had become reliant on using Google Ads to drive traffic to the site as the organic traffic was low. This meant a much higher cost per enquiry from customers.
No E-Commerce
The old site didn’t have e-commerce functionality and therefore lacked an online parts store from which existing customers could purchase parts on demand.
Our Solution Incorporated A Sleek and Functional Design, E-Commerce Functionality and an SEO Strategy
Our solution was to build Oxdale a new website on the WordPress CMS whilst also integrating some custom-built functionality like the Dealer Locator. We also integrated, branded and customised WooCommerce for online sales functionality.
Re-Design
We redesigned the site to be sleek, functional and simple whilst improving the user experience. We also gave the brand a refresh, modernising the logo and providing some new brand guidelines.
E-Commerce
We built a customised e-commerce store that allowed existing customers to purchase parts online, providing Oxdale with an income source as well as reduced sales calls and parts-related support.
SEO
We completely reworked the site’s information architecture and sitemap to improve site visibility for Google. We also optimised during the build process so that the site launch could have the greatest initial impact on traffic.
The Finished Product
Oxdale’s new website has shown a significant increase in organic traffic and enquiries. The site also now provides the company the ability to sell their parts online which saves their sales team the time taken up by taking orders over the phone. More efficient, more effective.
